In Awe

In Sunday School yesterday my teacher asked this question: "When was the last time you were in awe of God?"

This is when I'm in awe of God...

When I look around me at all the beautiful things He's made.

When I'm on stage praising Him. Because I know that I couldn't do it without Him.

When I'm with my friends. God has blessed me with a great group of girls who share the same morals and beliefs as I do. I know they love me...for who I am.

These are a few things that put me in awe of God. What are yours? When was the last time you were in awe of God?

P.S. My brother posted something like this on his blog not too long ago. You can check it out here: http://http//pause4jesus.blogspot.com/2010/10/in-awe-of-god.html

Inside My Journal...

Dear God,
I'm praying to You tonight because I want to finally give my whole self to You. I don't think I ever did that, so I'm going to now. I don't know exactly how except to just say here God, take my life and make it something that will glorify You...
Amen

October 26, 2006 was when I wrote that. I was going through some of my old stuff about a month ago and found this entry. I loved it! I completely forgot that I had written it...and still don't really remember it. But what shocked me was that today that's exactly what God's doing. He's making me into something that will glorify Him. To think, four years ago, I wrote that, and now, four years later, I'm living it.

Tomorrow night, 24/7 (the band I'm in) is playing at a church. I'll be sharing my testimony, too. I am excited and nervous at the same time. :) One of my favorite things to do is get up on stage with my brother and sister and praise the Lord! Four years ago, to a very shy blondeheaded girl, doing something like that would freak me out. It's amazing when I think about what God has been preparing me for all along.

"...He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake." Psalm 23:3

Lord, Humble Me...& Help Me

Tomorrow morning 24/7 is playing at two churches and I'm sharing my testimony at one. So, please keep us in your prayers. :-)

I was talking with my parents and Zach earlier tonight. God has given us this talent, but our heart has to be in the right place in order to glorify Him with it. My prayer constintately is "Keep me humble, Lord. Keep me humble." Sure, I wanna do great. And it's nice to have people tell us that. But I can't let that become my main objective. God comes first. He's my #1 audience.

Also, I believe God has given me a story...a testimony to share. He amazes me all the time with the awesome opportunities that He places in my path. I am a shy, 'blend into the background', ordinary kind of person and yet He puts me up on stage with a microphone and works in me to do extraordinary things.

So, He's given me a talent and a story. And He's also given me the passion to share it with others. My prayer is, "Lord, help me deliver it. Help me take a stand. Work in me. Reign in me."

24/7 Christians

Last night's revival was awesome! I had such a great time worshiping! Standing up there with my band, my siblings, I could see God working in an incredible way. It's amazing what the Lord could have instore for us in the future!

The schedule last night was changed around a little bit, so I didn't do my testimony. Which was just fine. The way it worked out was perfect. The speaker last night talked on practically the same stuff that I had! Also, Sacramento Baptist's youth group put on an amazing skit! Very powerful! Zach said that it gave him goosebumps. It did me too.

God is working in a mighty way in our family, and in our band. What 24/7 is all about is being a Godly example. Being "24/7 Christians." I pray that we are able to be used for God's glory. Send us, Lord!

Camp!

Got back from our youth trip to Camp Schafer Sunday morning. I had a great time! The youth praise band, that Annie, Zach, and I are in, along with Justin, Kaela and Ryan, lead the worship music through out the weekend. It was fun, but I was kinda nervous about the whole thing too.

I had an awesome time! We went paddle boating, and played Frisbee golf. Kaela and I were on a team. We call our selves "'Da Bomb" because we bombed (as in lost). LOL But this is partly because of the very cheap Frisbee's Bro. Jamie bought. Heehee!

The last night was probably my favorite. I sat in my high school group and we shared what we learned that weekend. A few of us did, including myself, and a few of us got emotional. It was very touching... I love my youth group! :)

By the way, keep 24/7 (my band...Zach, Annie, and me) in your prayers. We're leading worship for a youth revival in Sacramento tomorrow. And I'm sharing my testimony. I'm excited that we have this opportunity, but also nervous. Praying everything goes well and lives are touched for the glory of God!

All for now...night all!
