Women of Joy
Just got home from Women of Joy in Louisville a couple hours ago. Mom, Annie, and I went with a bunch of women from church. I had an amazing time!!
I'll tell ya what all I learned and stuff below, but first wanted to let you know who all was there. :) First of all, Sarah Palin was there!! It was awesome to hear her speak! Steven Curtis Chapman and Michael W. Smith were there and each did a concert which was really neat! Some of the speakers (other than Sarah Palin) were Liz Curtis Higgs, Anita Renfroe, and Becky Tirabassi. They were awesome! The worship leader for the whole weekend was Charles Billingsley. I actually had never heard of him before. But he was awesome!! He was one of, if not my favorite of the whole weekend. So, I'm now a fan of him on facebook. lol
This was the second weekend in a row (first was the youth trip) I've heard to step out of my comfort zone, my box, and to use the gifts God has given me for His glory, #1. #2, I heard, for the second time also, to surrender my plans. Ya know the saying, "We plan down here and God's laughing up there" kinda thing? Well, right now I'm making some large decisions about my future. Decisions that will affect the rest of my life pretty much. (College...eek!) And I was thinking, ya know, what does God want me to do?? What if I become a nurse and then He calls me to something totally different, like to go to Africa, or be a writer, or go full time with my band?? And over the course of these trips I'm learning to live for today. Live for today and let God deal with whatever is coming tomorrow, next week, next year, etc. So, my plan is to go to college, and get involved in the medical field. Maybe become a nurse...or something else. And if something different happens down the road, so be it. God's in control!

24/7 Christians
Last night's revival was awesome! I had such a great time worshiping! Standing up there with my band, my siblings, I could see God working in an incredible way. It's amazing what the Lord could have instore for us in the future!
The schedule last night was changed around a little bit, so I didn't do my testimony. Which was just fine. The way it worked out was perfect. The speaker last night talked on practically the same stuff that I had! Also, Sacramento Baptist's youth group put on an amazing skit! Very powerful! Zach said that it gave him goosebumps. It did me too.
God is working in a mighty way in our family, and in our band. What 24/7 is all about is being a Godly example. Being "24/7 Christians." I pray that we are able to be used for God's glory. Send us, Lord!

Camp!
Got back from our youth trip to Camp Schafer Sunday morning. I had a great time! The youth praise band, that Annie, Zach, and I are in, along with Justin, Kaela and Ryan, lead the worship music through out the weekend. It was fun, but I was kinda nervous about the whole thing too.
I had an awesome time! We went paddle boating, and played Frisbee golf. Kaela and I were on a team. We call our selves "'Da Bomb" because we bombed (as in lost). LOL But this is partly because of the very cheap Frisbee's Bro. Jamie bought. Heehee!
The last night was probably my favorite. I sat in my high school group and we shared what we learned that weekend. A few of us did, including myself, and a few of us got emotional. It was very touching... I love my youth group! :)
By the way, keep 24/7 (my band...Zach, Annie, and me) in your prayers. We're leading worship for a youth revival in Sacramento tomorrow. And I'm sharing my testimony. I'm excited that we have this opportunity, but also nervous. Praying everything goes well and lives are touched for the glory of God!
All for now...night all!

Annie's 13th Birthday
Annie's birthday was two days ago. She turned 13. A teenager now! It's crazy how fast she's growing. She's taller than me! (I've accepted that I'm going to be the shortest in my family. lol)
So, on her birthday we had a birthday breakfast for her. And then that night we took her out to eat at Cracker Barrel. Even though she insisted we not, we told the waitress that it was her birthday today and a bunch of people that worked there came out and sang happy birthday. It embarressed her! Haha!
She also got her very own cell phone! Now she can text all she wants! It's a purple LG Lotus. Very cute!
Just yesterday we had a bowling party for her. Annie invited a bunch of her friends and we all had a blast! Later that night we went out with Kaela and her mom to see "The Last Song." Real good movie! But watch it with a box of kleenex. :)
Annie, I love you so much! I am so blessed to have you as my sister! Though we are like night and day...so incredibly different...we are best friends and will be forever. I hope you had a great birthday and enjoy your teen years!
