i'm a romantic.

I had the idea for this post laying in bed a few nights ago.  This may sound really strange, but go with me for a few minutes.

You know those moments when you walk by something, or do something, or watch something happen and just think, "That could totally fit right into a black and white movie or an old classic."?  Something that's unique...something that maybe reminds you of days past?  I think that those moments are special.  Romantic even.  These are just a few things that make me think...yes, I am a romantic.

wind blown curls
cursive writing
enjoying the fact you have to walk through the rain
old books
reading in a coffee shop...while drinking coffee of course
handwritten letters
flowers tucked into locks of hair
book stores
finding happiness in the smallest of things
packages in the mail with your name on them
unique sunglasses
splashing in a rain puddle

It's a beautiful world out there.  Don't miss it.

Any fellow romantics out there?

  5. I remember sitting by a river walk on vacation once. There were people everywhere, and water taxis meandering by. It was dusk, and there were bare bulbs hung in the trees above. We were eating at an outdoor cafe, and there were two old men playing slow jazz live. *That* was one of my favorite parts of the vacation, and it *totally* made me think of an old movie. It was magical!

P.S. I don't know if I've ever thanked you for posting my link under your favorite blogs ... so thank you!!
