Time for a Break...

Yep, you read right.  I'm taking a break.  My mama announced today that we're going on a two week long technology break...so that means no computer.

I will really miss you all!  But I think this break is for the best.  When I was thinking about it, something that immediately came to mind was all the free time I'd have to do other things.  Like read, and write, and hang with my family.  I think it'll be nice. :)

So...this will be my last post for a little bit.  Good-bye and farewell.  (Ha!  That puts me in the mood to watch "Sound of Music.") 

Anyways, real good-bye now...

I really like scrapbooking and making home made cards.  It's something I do every once in a while in my 'me time'. ;) This is a picture of some pretty paper I got for my birthday.

Hm.  Well, I looked up "Fireflies" one day because my friend had mentioned it to me.  And I had also heard a lot about Owl City from different friends and on blogger.  I got my first CD a couple months ago and now they're one of my favorites! :)

I heard "Free to be Me" on YouTube and went out and bought her CD like the next day.  Hehe ;)

Ooo, hard one.  I love "Satisfy".  And "Oh My Dear".

Once.  What an amazing concert that was, too!

Seeing them in concert and being like super close to the front!  And jumping up down with my friends.  Hehe ;)  Good times.

Gosh!  Hard question!  I like "More" a lot.  And dancing to "Something to Say" is a lot of fun. lol  I don't think I really have an all time favorite song of his...they're all great.

Signs of Spring

Hello, my name is Georgia.

Aren't they the coolest?  Hehehe ;)  I got her for my birthday from a couple of my friends and I just came up with her name last night.  It made me happy.  I'm quite positive Georgia is going to be BFFs with Kaela's dolphin, Gregory, and my brother Logan's penguin, Jo Jo, also pillow pets. ;)

Ok...enough of my weirdness for tonight.  Ha!

Today I turned 17 years old.

Ok, so I don't officially turn 17 until 6:08 tonight, but still! ;)

Wow...it's pretty crazy to me.  I can't believe another year has gone.

I was talking to my 3 year old cousin, Jace, a few days ago.

Me- "Guess what, Jace!  I'm going to be 17 in two days!  Do you think that's old?"

Jace- "Yeah."

Me- "Yeah, me too."

Jace- "How much is that?"

*holds up fingers*

Me- "It's all of your fingers plus 7 of mine.  See, one-two-three-four-five-six-seven-eight-nine-ten-eleven-twelve-thirteen-fourteen-fifteen-sixteen-seventeen."

Jace- "That's a long number."

Tehe ;-)  Love you, Jace Man! 

I said above I couldn't believe another year had gone.  But, you know what, a new year is here now.  16 was quite fabulous, if I do say so myself, and I hope and pray that 17 is just as great!

Now, I wanted share with you what I'm doing on my 17th day of birth (Ha!).  I woke up around 7:00 and went down stairs to a yummy birthday breakfast of fried eggs, hashbrowns, biscuits, and bacon that my mommy made for me.  We even had chocolate milk!  Yum!

I also received a few more pretty amazin' gifts:

• New photo frames for my bed room.  Yay!
• "Ramona & Beezus" movie.  I've already watched it this morning.  Hehe ;)
• A new very pretty laundry hamper for my room.
• Stationary for writing my pen pal with.
• Some sweet scrapbooking paper.

Then, tonight I have Bible study with some of my totally wonderful girl friends.  I'm gonna bring some yummy cupcakes. ;)

After that, Kaela Jo, my BFFE is spending the night.  We have plans...we're gonna play apples-to-apples and kimps with my family.  Then stay up late(ish) watching "MegaMind" and "Ramona & Beezus" and making Polyvore sets.  Hehe!

Triple Birthday Party

Yesterday night was my birthday party!  Along with my brother, Zach's, and my Uncle Aaron's.  So, technically, it was a triple birthday party.  Pretty sweet, huh?  ;)


We started out with cake.  Yum!  Mine was dark chocolate fudge with chocolate icing on top.  Yep.  Delicious!

So, then we decided, why not take a picture of all three of us with our cakes?

Aaron didn't want a cake.  (Party pooper, I know.)  So, my mom improvised and made him four little cupcakes.  We stuck all his candles in them.  Ha!

After that, we did presents.  And I must say, I got some pretty fabulous gifts you all.  They would include:

• 4 new books that I've been wanting by 2 of my favorite authors.  :-D
• money
• clothes
• a movie (The Christmas Hope)
• Francesca Battistelli's new CD (Eep!)
• some pretty hair clips
• A photo collage that my ah-mazing sister made for me. :)

And then, when we were all done opening our presents, my daddy says he has a surprise for me.  So I shut my eyes, my brother treks out to the garage, and brings back this...

Isn't that lamp just totally gorgeous?  I'd been drooling over it through the shop window where my dad and brother work for months.  Then a few weeks ago I saw it was gone.  It had sold. :(  What I didn't realize was that it had sold to my parents! :D  Hehe! Awesome surprise!

We ended the night with a couple games of Taboo.

I heart this game!  It's so much fun!  Especially when you're playing it with my family. ;)  We laughed so hard!

Overall, I had a pretty amazing 17th birthday party.

My actual birthday is this coming Friday.  To celebrate here on my blog, I decided I'm gonna give it a make over.  Be looking out for a brand new design!  It should be up by Tuesday.  Can't wait to show you all!  My friend, Danielle, designed it and I love the way it turned out!
