Here are some pictures of us at the lake:
One of the things we learned through the week was to "Go Beyond". The way they explained this was to combine your burden with your passion and go beyond yourself. Having God work through you to do something awesome for Him. This is something I want to challenge myself to do. To "Go Beyond" with my music. To share my story. To help people.
This week's camp was called "Adopted". We learned about how, as Christians, we are adopted into God's family. One thing that really hit me this week was my dad. Being grateful for my earthly father. I have some friends who don't have an active earthly dad in their lives and I see how that hurts them. I love these girls! And I feel like I can't do anything about their situation. On the last night I broke down and went and prayed with my dad. He hugged my sister and me and told us how proud he was of us. I became extremely thankful for my dad then. I have always known that he loves me and cares for me. And some people don't know that about their dad.
Our leaders told us this, one night this week: If you have a great earthly dad who cares for you or one that doesn't, you will always have a Heavenly Father. Because dad's, even the great ones, are going to fail. God will never let you down.
This is Crossings Camp, right? I am going there for the first time this summer with my youth group. It looks amazing. I LOVE your blog:).
