I realized the other day that it has been quite a long time since I've taken any photos. Today I had some down time and snatched up my camera and headed outside for a mini, impromptu photo shoot in my front lawn. Aren't those the best?
Hello spring. I love you. A lot.

his death and resurrection
I will not boast in anything, no gifts, no power, no wisdom. But I will boast in Jesus Christ, his death and resurrection. What should I gain from his reward? I cannot give an answer. But this I know with all my heart, his wounds have paid my ransom.
"How Deep the Father's Love"
In Christ we are free...free indeed.
Happy Easter Sunday.

treasures from the garage
A couple weekends ago we did a little spring cleaning in my garage. Originally, I'll be honest, I was dreading that day. I'd rather do almost anything to get out of cleaning. But, this little cleaning spree surprised me. It was actually kind of fun. Not because of the cleaning of course. But because of all the little treasures we found.
My daddy, well, God love him, he's a pack-rat. So many of his old little things were tucked away here and there from our different moves and a few of them didn't surface again...until our spring cleaning over the weekend. I was able to keep some of these treasures and they are now on display in my room.
Object for inspection #1: I'm not even real sure what this is. But I thought it was cool. And after a little cleaning, it makes a real nice nifty little vase for my paper flowers. And I didn't even have to go to a yard sale. Booya!
Object for inspection #2: There were several old books that I just absolutely fell in love with. I was able to claim these two before the rest of my family had their pick. "Count of Monte Cristo" and "The Motor Girls."
Object for inspection #3: This radio is less than a foot long. It's tiny and just so cute. Even though I'm not sure if it works yet, I had to keep it.
Object for inspection #4: When my dad first showed me this, it was just a stick and I had no idea what it was. Then he unscrewed the bottom flipped it over, and tada! a table top tripod. How cool!
What about you...have you discovered any new treasures lately?

Signs of Spring
Wanna come on a walk with me through my backyard? Okey dokey, here we go to find signs of spring! ;)
My abandoned shoes and socks.
Our grass is getting tall again. Ready to be mowed.
Yep. It's confirmed. Spring is officially here. :)
Are you seeing the same spring signs as I am? Any different ones?
My abandoned shoes and socks.
My bare feet out in the 70 degree weather with the green grass poking between my toes.
Such a beautiful blue sky.
Daffodils growing in the yard.
