iLove Photo Contest Winners

I apologize it has taken me so long to post the winners.  Life has been crazy.  But, I've been going over the entries for the past three days or so and discussing with my parents and siblings...well we finally narrowed it down to four.  It sure was hard, though.  Thank you SO much to everyone that entered!  It was a lot of fun and I loved looking at all the pictures.

iLove Photo Contest

Guess what time it is folks!  Photo contest/giveaway time!  Whoot whoot! I reached 100 followers a couple days ago and that has now turned into 101.  Can I just say that you all are the best?  *cheesy grins*
Here's the contest info you will need:
Subject: iLove  Isn't it a wonderful thing when you have a sister that gives you wonderful insight?  I asked her several weeks ago what my contest subject should be and she said, "Katie, do what you love."  *light bulb*  So, the subject is anything that you love.
Time limit: The contest starts today, Saturday, September 3rd and goes until Wednesday, September 14th.
Rules: Yes...'cause we all have to have them. ;)

• One photo entry is allowed per person.
• You do not have to have a blog to enter.  You can enter on any website (though I may not be able to leave you a comment because I don't have an account on many things other than blogger) or you can shoot your photo to me through e-mail (find my e-mail in the 'contact me' page).
• This contest is only open to U.S. residents for shipping reasons.  Sorry!
• At the end of the contest I'll pick several of my favorites.  But my dad, who is a professional photographer of over 20 years will be making the final judgment calls based on photo quality.

{Mirror Me} Photo Contest

The time has finally come!  Yippee!  For those of you who don't know, I'm having a photo contest in honor of my upcoming 100th post on this blog.  I don't know about you, but I'm uberly excited! :D  Let's get started shall we.


Rules:

• Subject of Photo Contest: Pictures taken in a mirror! :)  I was trying to think up a clever subject, and realized it was right under my nose.  Does anybody else enjoy taking 'mirror pictures' as much as me?  Hehe ;)
• You can enter up to 3 photos.
• There will be three prizes...which means three winners. (And I must say, they're some pretty sweet prizes. Hehe!)  The 3rd place prize, though, will only be eligible for people in the U.S., because it's something I'll have to ship.
• Pictures must be taken by you and must follow the photo contest subject (^see above^).
• You are allowed to edit your pictures.
• Post photos you want to enter in a blog post along with the photo contest button (below).  There'll be a linky at the end of this post where you can link up. If you don't have your own blog and still would like to enter, you can e-mail me your pics at: kbug747@yahoo.com

Photos I Never Thought I'd Post...Plus a Tag

I saw this tag going around blogger and when I saw I was tagged, I was excited! ;)  So here's the rules:

"Pick your favorite musical artist/ movie star/ famous whoever -- and post a picture (or two, or three, or four) of him, and what it is about him that you love, and what it is about him that you might hope for, for whoever God has planned for you for your future."

When I started thinking about who I'd choose for this tag, one guy came to mind.  He's a character in a  movie, but he's not really totally well known and the movie that I'm referring to (which I love) is not really totally well known either. lol  But I couldn't think of anyone who would be better than:

Cody Cullen (played by John Newton) from "The Christmas Card." *smiles*

What I like about Cody:

#1 (and most important): His faith in Jesus

You know how sometimes you'll think of your future spouse and you list a bunch of things you might like them to be like... Nice hair, tall, romantic, etc.  And you know how some of them might change or be crossed off?  Well this is one thing that will never be 'crossed off' my list.  And it's something that I loved in the character of Cody...he's a Christian.

#2: Respectful

Respect has always been a big thing in my house.  I learned how to say "yes, ma'am" when I was pretty little. ;)  And it's something that I admire in Cody...and in men in general.  When they call their elders ma'am and sir and treat them with respect.

#3: Courage

Cody is a soldier in the army.  Now, before I continue, I'm not saying that I really want to be a soldier's wife or anything.  I'm not saying I'm against it either.  I'm saying that I think it takes a lot of courage to fight for one's country, and I admire that.

#4: Hardworking

In the movie Cody works at a sawmill when he's on leave from the army.  He may not have loved every aspect of the job (which he didn't say) but he did
his best at the work that was given him.  He worked hard and did a good job.  

  #5: Really sweet.

I know this sounds cheesy.  But I don't care. ;)  Cody is super sweet.
