Spell It Right, Please!

Guess what! I think this is kinda odd....so don't laugh! ;) When I'm writing my name in cursive, a lot of the time I will accidently leave out the "i" in my name and go straight from "t" to "e." And then I'll just stare at my mistake and wonder, "Now how do I fix this?" It's quite irritating. I have one of the easisest names EVER! Katie Dawn Lake. Why can't my right hand get it right is my question..?

Sweet 16!

My birthday was on Thursday. I turned 16 years old! Quite unbelievable. We went out to eat that night at Norman McDonald's. I love that place! My mom surprised me with taking beautiful flowers out there before we got there and making our table "special." :) And I got a free piece of turtle pie. It was so yummy! I also recieved a few gifts that night:

My party was just last night. The house was full of people! We had such a good time! My aunt brought a karaoke machine which was a BIG hit. We had lots if food! And we did gifts and also just hung around the houes talked. My brother, Zachary, made a slideshow of pictures put to music of me. It was awesome! Love you, Zach! :) We also did gifts and cake and ice cream. I had my very first Walmart cake! Heehee! It was very yummy! Here's some of the gifts I recieved:

What are your talents?

On Friday we have a girl's Biblestudy at my church. This past Friday we talked about our talents. Not just the ones that first come to your mind...but also little ones nobody thinks about. Like walking dogs...or riding a bike. So, I thought I'd write a blog post about my talents, big and small, and thought you could tell me some of yours. :) So, feel free to comment.

Zachary's 14th Birthday

Happy birthday Zachary!!

Zach is 14 years old today. It feels like I was 14 like yesterday....my birthdays have seemed to merge together the last few years. Ha! Anyway, we woke up early and had a "birthday breakfast" for him. Zach's party is this Saturday. We're having family over for dinner and then a couple of his guy friends are coming over to play wii. Should be fun! :)

Just wanna say Zach, I love you so much! You're an awesome brother! As I've told you before...I haven't really felt our age difference. I don't really see you as my "little brother." You're more of a friend. But...you still are my little brother and it's been awesome to watch you grow up (a head taller than me, might I add). Have a great birthday!

So...I know I said I'd start writing on here more.....and I know I'm not really doing that. Ha! Here's my problem:

My life really isn't that interesting! LOL ;)

Well, today is the start of a new week. Not really looking forward to going to school tomorrow. I have 2, maybe 3 quizes I need to study for and take this week. So, wish me luck! Heehee!

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

I woke up this morning to a hot cup of coffee and heart-shaped pancakes. Yum! We had breakfast before church and Mom and Dad had gotten each of us a little something. I got the movie "Enchanted." I had been wanting it, so I was excited! :) Momma surprised Daddy with his very own laptop! His computer crashed a little while back and had been looking at getting a laptop but not for another month or so. He was so surprised!

Today is also one of my friends' birthday. So, happy birthday Jessica!!

Logan's 10th Birthday

Logan turned ten-years-old today!! Double-digits!! It's crazy that he's getting so big! I remember turning ten and having a party and everything. I thought I was so big! Like I wasn't a kid anymore. Haha! And now my baby brother is ten. Unbelievable! So...he had a big party with a bunch of his friends (Yes, we had 10 8-10 year olds running rampid in our house!) over. It was a Superhero Squad party. We had cake, ice cream, wii games, a pinata, presents...loads of fun!
